The Adventures of Sleepy the Sloth

Once upon a time there was an animal named Sleepy the Sloth.  He lived in room 114, with Ms. Feinman's students.  The students loved playing with him. But Sleepy the Sloth was always lazy.  One day, the classroom turned into a rainforest!  And Sleepy the Sloth showed the students how to climb on trees.  He introduced them to new animals, like geckos, snakes, more sloths, monkeys, red eyed frogs, gorillas, and toucans. They had an awesome time with him!  He also showed them how to take long sleepy naps in the tall trees.  With all this excitement, the students were not doing their work.  The principal of the school, Mrs. Wright, walked into room 114.  After seeing the rainforest classroom, she screamed, "What's happening in here?!"  Then the rainforest disappeared.  The students returned to their desks to do their work.  As punishment, Mrs. Wright sends Sleepy the Sloth to Ms. Walenciak's room.  The students in room114 waited and waited for days for Sleepy the Sloth to return.  They were sad because they missed him so much.

When Sleepy the Sloth first arrived in Room 113, Ms. Walenciak's class, he was very tired.  He took a nap right away.  The students were so glad that Sleepy took a nap so that they could get their work done really fast before he woke up.  After Sleepy the Sloth woke up, the class went outside for recess, and Sleepy went, too!  He had never been to the playground, so he thought that the tree branches were like the ones in the rain forest and that he could hang from them.  They weren't strong enough, though, and Sleepy fell down.  The tree branch fell on top of him, and Ms. Walenciak's class gave Sleepy some bandages for his legs.  He didn't try to climb anymore trees after that!  He just walked around the playground and played hopscotch and jumped rope.  He even hung on the monkey bars, and the class said they saw him using the hula hoop!  Soon, recess was over, and the class all went back inside.  Then they all kissed Sleepy's legs so he would feel better.  The class didn't want him to go, but Sleepy said he wanted to meet the students in Ms. Wright's class.  So, with that, Sleepy lumbered out the door and headed to Room 111.

When Sleepy the Sloth entered Ms. Wright's class, she picked him up and put him on her back.  All of a sudden, he slid off her back and grabbed the pencil boxes from table one.  He said "I can juggle. Wanna see?  Wanna see?"   He tossed them into the air and began to juggle, but he missed the last toss, and the boxes fell to the floor.  When the boxes hit the floor, the lids fell off and crayons and pencils went everywhere!  Sleepy said "Oh, no."   Ms. Wright said, "You dropped it, you pick it up!"  So he did.   He saw Isaiah under his desk picking up cheezit crumbs from snack. Sleepy  asked, "What are you doing? Are those cheezits?  I  LOVE cheezits!  Can I have some too?"  Ms. Wright gave Sleepy some  cheezits.  After he ate his snack, he lumbered across the room,  climbed up the chair,  plopped down on Mary Lou's head and tried to make himself comfortable.  She had beads in her hair and it was to bumpy to sleep on.  So he crawled across the floor and under a desk to sleep,  but the floor was too hard and cold.  So he said I can't take it.  I can't sleep here, I am going back to Ms. Feinman's class were I belong.
